* It shows you don't put yourself on a pedestal or take yourself way too seriously
* Should you desire to speak to anyone else working out you have yourself a great ice breaker
* There's nothing wrong with putting a little smile on the face of those around you
There is one possible downside here, and it's a big one. The next time you want to hit the weights with a massive "Pain is just weakness leaving the body!" or "Train insane or remain the same!" logo across your chest you must first ask yourself one thing:
Are you able to pull off the statement you're carrying?
When it comes to workout humor we aren't aiming for self ridicule, after all. So who should be looking to make the most of this type of gear? Well, if you're already in good shape and want to poke a little fun at yourself then this is the perfect way to do it but it's just as important to avoid making yourself look silly and coming off as a jerk or arrogant.

So the next time you hit the iron try adding a cheesy workout top into the mix and, if nothing else, you will have yourself a very good conversation starter.
