Theatre of Living Arts (TLA)
Located in the city of Philadelphia's South Street district, the Theatre of Living Arts, better known as TLA, puts on a selection of musical acts at the local and country-wide levels. From metal to rap to punk to R&B to classic rock to country, TLA features something for each crowd. The best feature of the venue is the angled floor that's lower towards the stage and higher toward the rear; this makes sure that, no matter where you are standing, you'll be guaranteed to have a clear view of the stage.
Electric Factory
The Electric Factory, one of the oldest Philadelphia concert venues, is found minutes away from the Ben Franklin Bridge. With adequate standing space on the main level and a bar upstairs in the balcony, Electric Factory tends to concert visitors of all ages. Most of Electrical Factory's acts are rock- and pop-based, and the locale has a tendency to focus on bigger countrywide bands. The Electric Factory also has regular ticket office hours from 12pm to 6pm Monday through Saturday; you can avoid paying service fees for your tickets if you pay cash during ticket office hours.
World Cafe Live
World Cafe Live, expediently located several blocks from Interstate 76, is probably one of the concert venues in Philadelphia that accommodates patrons both old and young. With an acoustic concert space upstairs for a quiet dinner concert and a large main stage downstairs for full scale electric shows, World Cafe Live provides a private setting for local bands and smaller nationwide acts.
Wells Fargo Center
The Wells Fargo Center is Philadelphia's major concert arena. It primarily hosts plenty of Philadelphia's sports occasions, but it also is home to the largest concerts in Philadelphia. Patron capacity varies from 12,000 to 17,500 depending on the stage setup; accordingly, the Wells Fargo Center books the celebrity acts, without reference to music type, that may fill those seats. Situated in southeastern Philly 1 or 2 miles north of the Philadelphia International Airport, the Wells Fargo Center is easily accessed by automobile, bus, or train and is handy to patrons visiting from New Jersey or Delaware.
The Trocadero
The Trocadero, sometimes called The Troc, is a classic entertainment venue that goes back to 1870, and it's located in Philadelphia's Chinatown district. Thru its history, The Trocadero featured burlesque performances, vaudeville shows and musical comedies, spent time as a film theater and art house cinema, and was reworked as a dance club before converting to its current concert format. With a main floor that fits up to 1200 and a balcony that will fit 250, The Troc hosts major countrywide acts as well as local showcases with artists spanning all genres.
