DJ Vibe is known to be one of the best house music DJs back in the days who started up as a solo DJ but later formed the Underground Sound of Lisbon. Having been born and grew up in Lisbon, Portugal, Antonio Pereira which is his real name started his career at the age of 15 years. His love for house music made him work harder and by 15 years, he got his first club gig which was at Lisbon Bataclan.
After proving his prowess, he began getting club gigs and it was not long that he started sharing the stage with big names like Tony Humphries, Paul Oakenfold, and Roger Sanchez. It was through his partnership with Rui da Silva that they rose to the top in house music scenes. Together, they formed the underground sound of Lisbon.
In the summer of 1994, the group released SO GET UP a hit that made it to number one on the billboard club chart. It featured vocals and lyrics by Darin Pappas. It is at this point that he rose to fame both nationally and internationally. He is among the top Portuguese DJs whose names are recognized internationally by house music fans.
DJ vibe has done several mixes over the years, working with people like Kristine w, DJ Jiggy and other big names in the industry. Through his compilations, he has proved to the listeners that he has the talent that the world is desperately in need of. By this, he was succeeded in pulling people into loving house music, taking the genre to another whole new level.
In addition, he is also good when it comes to handling businesses; he is a co owner of Kaos records a label and recording store in Lisbon. This company was founded in 1992 through his partnership with Antonio Cunha, an entrepreneur that believed in his skills. Other than being a co founder, he has also compiled a number of compositions, participating in projects like sonic hunters and LHT.
Over the years, he sold million copies of his compilations touching people with his talent in all corners of the planet. However, he also participated in other music genre; it is only that he mostly specialized in house music. It is for this reason that he is recognized by many people even those that love other genres.
His hard work and talent is what that made him who he is, and it was by this that he worked on all those projects that turned out a success. It was basically his love for music that made him big as he rose from glory to the other leaving a name in everything he worked on. Moreover, he trains talented youngster aspiring to venture in the industry, giving them a chance to make it through like he did.
